When Agamemnon was murdered, Electra carried her brother Orestes out of danger and gave him to Strophius in Phocis, where he grew up beside Pylades.2

A false report later told Electra that Orestes and Pylades had died in Tauris. When Iphigenia arrived, another lie nearly drove Electra to attack the sister she did not recognize before Orestes intervened.3
III
Orestes gave Electra in marriage to Pylades. Pausanias saw her tomb at Mycenae and reports through Hellanicus that their sons were Medon and Strophius.4
