Phocus
Aeacid son of Aeacus by Psamathe — not the Corinthian Phocus son of Ornytion who first named the Tithorea district, nor the Magnesian Argonaut. Pausanias has him cross from Aegina into Phocis; after his murder his sons settled about Parnassus, and from him the land-name spread.1
Panopeus
Son of Phocus and eponym of this Phocian city (Asius via Pausanias); father of Epeius the wooden-horse builder. Distinct from the Nereid Panopea.2
Crisus
Brother of the eponym Panopeus; father of Strophius and so the attested link from Phocus to Pylades. Pedigree in Asius/Pausanias — not separately styled king of the city.3
Strophius
Son of Crisus; Phocian host who reared Orestes with Pylades. Sources place him in Phocis (not by city-name); the atlas seats this Aeacid Phocian house at the eponym city. Distinct from Homer's Strophius, father of the Trojan hunter Scamandrius.4
Pylades
Son of Strophius by Anaxibia (Pausanias/Asius) or Astyoche (Hyginus); companion of Orestes and heir of the Crisus line in the Aeacid Phocian pedigree.5
Schedius
Son of Iphitus son of Naubolus — a different Phocian stem from Crisus–Strophius. Homer alone calls him king over many men dwelling in famous Panopeus; Hector slew him in the fight for Patroclus. Distinct from the Dulichian suitor Schedius.6
