When the Trojans stormed the wall and Leonteus, scion of Ares, raged among them, he smote Hippomachus son of Antimachus with a cast of his spear, striking him upon the girdle, and thereafter drew his sharp sword and darted through the throng to smite Antiphates and Menon and Iamenus and Orestes in close fight.2
