Father of Thalpius (`thalpius-epeian`) among the Epeians of the blood of Actor — twin brother of Cteatus (`cteatus-epeian`) in Elis tradition — distinct from Eurytus of Oechalia (`eurytus-oechalia`) and the Argonaut Eurytus (`eurytus-hermes`).1
In the Catalogue, Eurytus stands with Cteatus as fathers of the two captains who shared half the Epeian fleet — Thalpius and Amphimachus — when forty ships mustered from Elis beside Buprasium, Hyrmine, Olen, and Alesium.2
Apollodorus counts Eurytus among the conjoined twins born to Actor and Molione, and Pausanias says the sons of Actor married the twin daughters of Dexamenus at Olenus: Thalpius was born to Eurytus and Theraephone, Amphimachus to Cteatus and Theronice.3
