Apollodorus reports a Euripidean strand beside the canonical brother of Alcmaeon born to Eriphyle: in madness Alcmaeon begot Amphilochus and Tisiphone on Manto, daughter of the Theban seer Tiresias, and brought the infants to Creon king of Corinth to be reared.2⚖
Because of her extraordinary beauty, Creon's wife feared the king might marry the girl and sold her as a slave. Alcmaeon later bought her as a handmaid without knowing she was his daughter; coming to Corinth to recover his children, he learned the truth and took back both daughter and son.3⚖
The name is shared with the Erinys Tisiphone whom Hesiod and Apollodorus name among the Furies born from Uranus' blood — a wholly different figure, kept under the suffixed id `tisiphone-erinyes` in the atlas homonym map.4
