Aeetes

In Eumelus' Corinthian History, as Pausanias reports it, Helius gave Ephyraea to Aeetes; when Aeetes departed for Colchis he left the land in trust — the Colchian king first holding the site later called Corinth.1Pausanias — Paus. 2.3.10

Bunus

Son of Hermes and Alcidamea; entrusted with Ephyraea when Aeetes left for Colchis, and founder of the temple of Hera Bunaea on the Acrocorinthus.2Pausanias — Paus. 2.3.10, 2.4.7

Corinthus

Son of Marathon (son of Epopeus) in Eumelus; eponym of the land after Ephyraea was renamed. Died childless — the Corinthians then sent for Medea from Iolcus. Local speech also called him a son of Zeus, which Pausanias treats as unserious.3Pausanias — Paus. 2.1.1, 2.3.10

Medea & Jason

Pausanias' Eumelus strand: the Corinthians bestowed the kingdom on Medea after Corinthus died childless, and through her Jason was king. She later departed and handed the throne to Sisyphus — a chronology that rivals Apollodorus' Creon-era Medea at Corinth.4Pausanias — Paus. 2.3.10–11

Sisyphus

Craftiest of men: Apollodorus and Homer make him founder-dweller of Ephyra (later Corinth); Pausanias has Medea hand him the kingdom when she leaves. Father of Glaucus, Ornytion, Thersander, and Almus.5Pseudo-Apollodorus · Homer · Pausanias — Apollod. 1.9.3; Il. 6.152–155; Paus. 2.3.11, 2.4.3

Glaucus of Corinth

Son of Sisyphus and father of Bellerophon in the Homeric Aeolid stem — not the Lycian Glaucus of the Trojan War. Pausanias' continuous Corinthian roll continues instead through Ornytion's son Thoas.6Homer · Pseudo-Apollodorus — Il. 6.154–155; Apollod. 1.9.3

Younger son of Ornytion son of Sisyphus; remained at Corinth when his brother Phocus migrated to Tithorea. Not the Lemnian Thoas, the Taurian king, or any other homonym.7Pausanias — Paus. 2.4.3

Damophon

Son of Thoas in Pausanias' Ornytionid succession — not the later Messenian sculptor Damophon.8Pausanias — Paus. 2.4.3

Propodas

Son of Damophon; father of the last Aeolid twin-kings before the Dorian takeover.9Pausanias — Paus. 2.4.3

Doridas & Hyanthidas

Sons of Propodas; while they were kings the Dorians under Aletes took Corinth — they gave up the kingship but remained in the city as the people were expelled.10Pausanias — Paus. 2.4.3

Aletes

Heraclid son of Hippotas who led the Dorians against Corinth and received the kingship from Doridas and Hyanthidas. His line ran five generations to Bacchis; not Aletes son of Aegisthus nor the Lacedaemonian son of Icarius.11Pausanias — Paus. 2.4.3–4

Polybus

King of Corinth in the Oedipus saga — his neatherds found the exposed infant on Cithaeron. Not in Pausanias' Corinthian king catalogue (and distinct from Polybus of Sicyon at Paus. 2.6.6); listed after the Pausanias roll because relative place beside the Ornytionids is unattested.12Pseudo-Apollodorus · Hyginus — Apollod. 3.5.7; Hyg. Creon

King of Corinth in Apollodorus' Jason–Medea episode — distinct from Creon of Thebes (`creon`). Betrothed Glauce to Jason and perished in Medea's poisoned robe. Hyginus wrongly calls him son of Menoeceus. Rivals Pausanias' earlier Medea–Jason kingship; not in Pausanias' continuous roll.13Pseudo-Apollodorus · Hyginus · Ovid — Apollod. 1.9.28; Hyg.
