In the fierce struggle when the Trojans fought to drag Patroclus to Ilios, Hector named Thersilochus among the allied captains he heartened, standing in the flashing armour of the son of Peleus.2
By the eddying river, when the Paeonians saw their best man Asteropaeus mightily vanquished beneath Achilles' hands, the son of Peleus went on chasing them along the banks and slew Thersilochus, Mydon, Astypylus, Mnesus, Thrasius, Aenius, and Ophelestes.3
