Bright Eurybia bore Perses to Crius together with Astraeus and Pallas. Hesiod singles Perses out as eminent among all in wisdom, while Pseudo-Apollodorus preserves him in the same three-brother genealogy.2

Perses led Asteria, daughter of Coeus and Phoebe, to his great house as his wife. She bore him Hecate, whom Zeus honored above all and allowed to retain her ancient shares of earth, sea and heaven after the rise of the Olympians.3
