Apollodorus names Meda among the wives Nauplius turned false while coasting along Hellas: Clytemnestra with Aegisthus, Aegialia with Cometes, and Meda with Leucus. The nested episode on Nauplius' vengeance tells the contrivance; the nested episode on Idomeneus and Leucus tells the Cretan end.2
Leucus killed Meda and her daughter Clisithyra, who had taken refuge in the temple, before Idomeneus returned from Troy — murder in sanctuary that completed the coup over ten Cretan cities.3
