After Heracles slew Neleus and all his sons save Nestor alone, the survivor inherited sandy Pylos and married Anaxibia, daughter of Cratieus. Apollodorus counts her as mother of the princes who feast with their father in the Odyssey and of the daughters Pisidice and Polycaste — the genealogical frame in which the mythographer orders the Neleid house for the Trojan generation.2
