Teutamides

Explicitly 'king of Larissa' in the Pelasgian land when Perseus' quoit killed Acrisius at his father's funeral games. Pausanias places that Larisa on the Peneus — this Thessalian city id (Pelasgiotis), not the Argive citadel Larisa (Paus. 2.24.1) and not Homer's deep-soiled Larisa of the Trojan-allied Pelasgi (Il. 2.840).1

II

Peirithous

King of the Lapiths whom Apollodorus lists as coming from Larissa; Homer sets his son Polypoetes over Argissa, Gyrtone, Orthe, Elone, and Oloösson — Lapith Thessaly, not a separate Argive Larisa throne. Kept as the Lapith seat tied to this city by Apollodorus' origin, not as Homeric city-king of the Catalogue's Larisa of the Pelasgi.2
