Crotopus son of Agenor came to the Argive throne after Iasus and begat Sthenelas. When Danaus landed from Egypt he claimed the kingdom against Gelanor son of Sthenelas; the Argives judged the dispute, and Pausanias says the arguments of Sthenelas were considered as fair as Danaus' own.2
