Podes (Ancient Greek: Ποδής) is son of Eetion and a wealthy Trojan ally whom Hector honours as a welcome companion at the feast. Menelaus kills him in the fight over Patroclus' body. Wikipedia treats him as brother of Andromache; Iliad 6 has Achilles slay Andromache's seven brothers — a contradiction left unresolved.

I.Companion of Hector
In Iliad 17 Podes son of Eetion stands among the Trojans over Patroclus. Hector values him above the people as a feast-companion; fair-haired Menelaus smites him through the belt as he starts to flee.
Athenaeus later glosses "feast friend" toward parasite and flatterer, reading Menelaus' belly-wound as symbolic. Readers who identify his father with Andromache's Eetion of Thebe Hypoplakia must still reckon with Andromache's claim that Achilles already killed her brothers.
II.Homonyms
This atlas entry (podes-eetionid) is the Iliadic son of Eetion alone. The linked father node is eetion-cilicia; do not collapse him into unrelated Podes namesakes outside the Patroclus fight.
