Hyginus opens the Tantalid genealogy by naming Tantalus as the son of Jupiter and Pluto. He gives her no independent episode, but her place in the genealogy makes her the maternal ancestor of Pelops and the Atreid dynasty.2

Pausanias repeats the same parentage while identifying the visible grave on Mount Sipylus as that of Tantalus, son of Zeus and Pluto, not the younger namesake associated with Clytemnestra.3
