Pheres (Ancient Greek: Φέρης) is one of the two sons of Jason and Medea at Corinth, brother of Mermerus. Ancient authors disagree whether the Corinthians stone the boys for Medea's poisoned gifts or Medea herself slays them when she flees. He is strictly distinct from Pheres son of Cretheus, the Aeolid founder of Pherae.

I.Children of Medea
Apollodorus names Mermerus and Pheres as Jason and Medea's sons and preserves rival ends: Medea may kill both when she flees after Glauce's death, or leave them as infant suppliants for the Corinthians to slay. Pausanias points to their tomb above the Well of Glauce and says the Corinthians stoned them because of Medea's bridal gifts; of Pheres alone he adds that nothing further is recorded.
Hyginus has the brothers deliver Medea's drugged crown to Creusa; after the palace fire Medea kills both sons before her escape. One strand has Mermerus killed by a lioness while hunting — not applied to Pheres.

This atlas entry (pheres-corinth) is Medea's Corinthian son. Distinct from pheres-aeolid (Cretheus' son, father of Admetus) and from any other Pheres in the Aeolid stemma.
