Neso (Ancient Greek: Νησώ) is one of the fifty Nereids, marine-nymph daughters of Nereus and the Oceanid Doris. Hesiod names her late in the Nereid catalogue of the Theogony; Apollodorus repeats her among the sea-sisters. The name suggests an island-nymph, but she has no independent myth beyond the catalogue.

I.Among the Nereids
Hesiod's Theogony lists Neso among the daughters of Nereus and Doris — after Psamathe of charming figure and divine Menippe, before Eupompe, Themisto, Pronoe, and Nemertes who has the mind of her deathless father. Apollodorus' Bibliotheca preserves her in the same fifty-sister roll.
Like many catalogue Nereids she is a name without a separate adventure: her identity is genealogical and etymological, marking the sea's island realm beside better-attested sisters such as Thetis, Amphitrite, and Galatea.
II.Homonyms
This atlas entry (neso) is the Nereid. Other figures named Neso include the mother of the Cumaean Sibyl in later notices and a daughter of King Teucer — distinct mortals or local eponyms, not the Hesiodic sea-nymph.
