Apollonius of Rhodes
Apollonius’ seer — son of Ampycus, Apollo-trained — sails with Jason, reads bird-omens in the storm, and dies of a serpent’s bite in Libya. Carefully distinct from the later Colophonian Mopsus who outprophesied Calchas.
