Apollodorus tells how Neoptolemus, travelling overland with Helenus to the country of the Molossians, vanquished them in battle, reigned as king, and begat Molossus on Andromache. Pausanias names him first among three sons Neoptolemus had by the widow of HectorMolossus, Pielus, and Pergamus.2
