Daughter of Bellerophon (`bellerophon`) who lay with Zeus the counsellor and bore godlike Sarpedon (`sarpedon`) — sister of Isander (`isander-lycian`) and Hippolochus (`hippolochus-lycian`) — slain in wrath by golden-reined Artemis in Homer's roll of the hero's children.1
When Bellerophon won the half of all the Lycian king's honour, his wife bore three children: Isander, Hippolochus, and Laodameia. With Laodameia lay Zeus the counsellor, and she bore godlike Sarpedon, the bronze-harnessed warrior whom Patroclus would slay at Troy.2
Apollodorus names the Lycian king's daughter Philonoe as Bellerophon's wife and repeats the three children; he adds that Artemis in wrath smote Laodameia, even as Ares had slain Isander among the Solymi.3
