Ianassa (Ancient Greek: Ἰάνασσα, "wedded voice") or Janassa is one of the fifty Nereids, marine-nymph daughters of Nereus and the Oceanid Doris. Homer lists her among the sisters who gather when Thetis mourns with Achilles after the death of Patroclus.

I.Among the Nereids
Hyginus and Homer place Ianassa in the Nereid catalogue. In Iliad 18 she and her sisters appear to Thetis in the bright cave when the goddess cries out in sympathy for Achilles' grief at Patroclus' slaying.
Like many catalogue Nereids she has no independent adventure beyond the mourning scene and the genealogical roll. The atlas node ianassa with kinds nereid is Nereus' daughter alone.
