Hesiod names Emathion among the sons of Eos and Tithonus, brother of Memnon king of the Ethiopians — the lord born when the Dawn snatched Tithonus away for love.2

On his way to fetch the golden apples, Heracles passed through Arabia and slew Emathion son of Tithonus — one of the sons of the Dawn's couch who fell to a greater hero long before Memnon marched to Troy.3
