Apollodorus gives the name as Cytisorus among the children of Phrixus and Chalciope in Colchis, alongside Argus, Melas, and Phrontis.2

Apollonius introduces him first when the brothers name themselves to Jason at Circe's isle — 'this is Cytissorus, this Phrontis, and this Melas, and me ye may call Argus' — before they turn back to Aea with the Argonauts and share the flight when Medea leaves her father's house.3
