In Greek mythology, Clymene (Ancient Greek Κλυμένη) daughter of Catreus is a Cretan princess given with her sister Aerope to Nauplius; she becomes Nauplius' wife and mother of Palamedes, Oeax, and (in some lists) Nausimedon. When Palamedes dies at Troy through Odysseus' plot, Nauplius avenges him on the returning host.

Apollodorus (3.2.2; Epitome 6.8) has Catreus, fearing an oracle, give Aerope and Clymene to Nauplius to sell abroad; Nauplius marries Clymene, who bears Oeax and Palamedes (and Nausimedon in some accounts). Alternate mothers Hesione or Philyra appear in other authorities for the same sons.
The asteroid 356217 Clymene is named after this Catreid mother of Palamedes — not the Oceanid.
