In Greek mythology, Antiphates (Ancient Greek Ἀντιφάτης) is a name shared by several men. The atlas node antiphates-melampid is the Melampodid of Argos — son of Melampus and Iphianeira, husband of Zeuxippe, father of Oicles — the genealogical link between the healing house of Melampus and the seer Amphiaraus destroyed at Thebes.

Apollodorus records Antiphates as son of Melampus by Iphianeira daughter of Megapenthes. By Zeuxippe daughter of Hippocoon he fathers Oicles (and, in some notices, Amphalces); Oicles in turn begets Amphiaraus, carrying the Melampodid gift of prophecy into the generation of the Seven.
Homonym care: not Antiphates king of the Laestrygonians who eats Odysseus' scouts; not the Greek in the Trojan Horse; not the Trojan slain by Leonteus; not Sarpedon's son in the Aeneid. The atlas id is the Argive Melampodid alone.
