Daughter of Asopus who gave her name to the city in one local tradition — eponym only; Pausanias does not call her queen or king.1

Thespius⚖
Apollodorus' sole named king of Thespiae: father of fifty daughters by Megamede, whom he bedded with Heracles during the Cithaeron lion hunt, and who later purified the hero. Pausanias' rival eponym is an Erechtheid from Athens after whom the city was named; at 9.27.6–7 he retells the daughters tale under the variant name Thestius. No daughter is attested as queen or king.2
