Talaus (Ancient Greek: Ταλαός) was king of Argos and one of the Argonauts, son of Bias (or Perialces) and Pero. By Lysimache (also called Eurynome, Lysippe, or Lysianassa) he fathered Adrastus and several siblings — the Biantid house from which the Seven against Thebes and the Epigoni descend. The atlas id marks him as an Aeolid-line figure through Bias, not a separate Talaus stem.

I.Family
Talaus was son of Bias and Pero — Bias the son of Amythaon in the Aeolid seer house — though one scholium names Perialces as father. His wife is Lysimache daughter of Abas, or alternatively Eurynome, Lysippe, or Lysianassa daughter of Polybus.
His children include Adrastus, Aristomachus, Astynome, Eriphyle, Mecisteus, Metidice, and Pronax. Through Adrastus and Eriphyle (wife of Amphiaraus) the house feeds both the Seven against Thebes and the later Epigoni.
II.Argonaut
Apollonius Rhodius names him among the Argonauts. Pindar and Apollodorus preserve the Argive genealogy that makes him the link between Bias–Pero and the generation of Adrastus.
