Sterope is one of the Pleiades, a daughter of Atlas. Apollodorus names her as the wife of Oenomaus; Hyginus also calls Oenomaus the son of Ares and Asterope daughter of Atlas.

Apollodorus lists Sterope among the Pleiades and says she was married to Oenomaus (Bibliotheca 3.10.1).
Hyginus makes Oenomaus the son of Mars and Asterope daughter of Atlas (Fabulae 84); Pausanias shows Sterope as Oenomaus' wife on the Pelops pediment (Description of Greece 6.21.7).
