Staphylus (Ancient Greek Στάφυλος, "grape cluster") son of Dionysus and Ariadne was born on Lemnos and sailed with the Argonauts. Apollodorus lists him beside brothers Thoas, Oenopion, and Peparethus among Dionysus' Lemnian sons, and again with Phanus in the Argonautic roll.

I.Son of Dionysus
After Dionysus took Ariadne to Lemnos, Apollodorus says she bore him Thoas, Staphylus, Oenopion, and Peparethus. Staphylus thus belongs to the wine-god's Lemnian house rather than to a mortal vintner legend alone.
In the Bibliotheca's catalogue of Argonauts, Staphylus and Phanus sail as sons of Dionysus on Jason's voyage for the Golden Fleece.
II.Homonyms
Other men named Staphylus include a beloved of Dionysus on Thasos; a husband of Methe and father of Botrys in Assyria; a son of Oenomaus or of Silenus; and Oeneus' goatherd who discovered wild grapes. The atlas id staphylus-dionysus is exclusively Ariadne's Lemnian son and Argonaut — not those grape-aetiology doubles.
