Rhexenor was a figure in the Phaeacian royal genealogy in Homer's Odyssey, a son of Nausithous and brother of King Alcinous. Apollo struck him down in his hall while he was still a bridegroom without a son, leaving only his daughter Arete — whom Alcinous married and honoured above all women on Scheria.

I.In the Odyssey
Homer introduces Rhexenor only through his daughter. When Odysseus enters the palace of Alcinous, he supplicates Arete as daughter of godlike Rhexenor — the queen whose father Apollo of the silver bow killed before he could beget a male heir.
Alcinous took Arete to wife and the people honour her like a goddess when she walks through the city.
