Apollodorus allots Pirene to Agaptolemus among the seven sons of Egyptus begotten on a Phoenician woman — one of the pairings named before the mass slaughter of the wedding night. Hyginus lists her with Dolichus among the brides who killed their husbands, a rival allotment in the wedding catalogue.2⚖
