Periboea (Ancient Greek: Περίβοια) is the youngest and comeliest daughter of Eurymedon, king of the insolent Giants. By Poseidon she bears Nausithous, founder of the Phaeacian royal line on Scheria. She is distinct from the many other Periboeas — Oceanid, mother of Ajax, foster-mother of Oedipus, and Paeonian mother of Pelegon.

I.Mother of Nausithous
Odyssey 7 names her only in the Phaeacian genealogy. Eurymedon destroyed his own froward Giant people; Poseidon lay with his youngest daughter Periboea, and she bore great-hearted Nausithous, who ruled the Phaeacians and begat Rhexenor and Alcinous.
Through this union the earth-shaker enters the house of Scheria: Nausithous removes the Phaeacians from Hypereia to their walled city, a founder sprung from Poseidon and a princess of the ruined Giant-kings.
