Periboea (Ancient Greek: Περίβοια) of Paeonia is the eldest daughter of King Acessamenus. By the river-god Axius she bears Pelegon, father of the Paeonian champion Asteropaeus. She is one of many mythic Periboeas and must be kept distinct from the Phaeacian mother of Nausithous, the Salaminian mother of Ajax, and Oeneus' Olenian wife.

I.Mother of Pelegon
Iliad 21 names her when Asteropaeus boasts his river descent: Axius lay with Periboea, eldest daughter of Acessamenus, and she bore Pelegon. Through that union the Paeonian house claims a river-grandfather against Achilles.
Outside that genealogical notice she has little independent myth; her place is the bridge between the Pierian/Paeonian king Acessamenus and the Iliadic champion Asteropaeus.

This atlas entry (periboea-paeonian) is Acessamenus' daughter alone. Distinct from periboea-phaeacian (Eurymedon's Giant daughter, mother of Nausithous by Poseidon) and from Salaminian, Corinthian, Olenian, and Locrian Periboeas listed on the same Wikipedia page.
