Nubes (Latin for "cloud") is the cloud-mate Hyginus names alongside Ixion as parent of centaurs such as Nessus and Eurytion. She belongs to the Ixion-centaur genealogy and must be distinguished from Nephele, the cloud of Athamas.

I.Mythology
Hyginus gives Nessus and other centaurs the parentage Ixion and Nubes. Apollodorus instead has Zeus' cloud in Hera's likeness bear Centaurus after Ixion's attempt on Hera.
