Homer names Medesicaste only in the pedigree of Imbrius: before the Achaeans came, the spearman dwelt in Pedaeum and had to wife Medesicaste, a daughter of Priam born out of wedlock; when the curved ships arrived he returned to Ilios and fell to Teucer's bow in the press about the ships.2
