Hyrtacus (Ancient Greek: Ὕρτακος) is a Trojan-War figure, comrade of Priam, who married Arisbe daughter of Merops of Percote after Priam set her aside for Hecuba. By her he fathered Asius (atlas asius-hyrtacid), the Hellespontine ally who fights at Troy. Virgil later credits him with sons Nisus and Hippocoon.

I.Father of Asius
Homer names Hyrtacus chiefly as the patronym of Asius, who leads men from Arisbe, Percote, Practius, Sestus, and Abydus. Apollodorus synchronizes the house with Priam's early marriage to Arisbe: after that divorce Hyrtacus takes her, and Asius is their son.
In the Aeneid Hyrtacus is also father of Nisus (and of an archery-contest Hippocoon). His own parentage is not given in the surviving Greek catalogues.
II.Homonym care
The atlas id hyrtacus-trojan is the Trojan comrade and father of Asius alone — not to be merged with later Latin namesakes or with the Cretan toponym.
