Hippothoe (Ancient Greek Ἱπποθόη, "swift as a mare") is one of the Peliades — daughters of King Pelias of Iolcus. Her mother is either Anaxibia daughter of Bias or Phylomache one of the Niobids. With her sisters she belongs to the circle implicated in Medea's cauldron trick against Pelias.

I.Peliad at Iolcus
Apollodorus lists Hippothoe among Pelias' children beside Pisidice, Pelopia, Alcestis, and Acastus. Hyginus likewise counts her among the daughters who, persuaded by Medea, cut their father to pieces and boil him in a vain hope of rejuvenation.
She is a catalogue and tragedy node of the Peliades, not an independent romance heroine.

Other Hippothoes include a Nereid, a Danaid who killed Obrimus, the daughter of Mestor and Lysidice abducted by Poseidon (atlas hippothoe-mestor), and an Amazon slain by Achilles. The atlas id hippothoe-pelias is the Iolcian Peliad alone.
