Apollodorus names Hippolytus among the Giants destroyed when the gods fought with Heracles' aid: Hermes, wearing the helmet of Hades, slew Hippolytus in the fight. The collective node `gigantes` holds the earthborn revolt; this node is the individual in Apollodorus' battle roster.2⚖
