Hippodameia (Ancient Greek: Ἱπποδάμεια), eldest daughter of Anchises, is the Trojan wife of Alcathous son of Aesyetes. Homer praises her comeliness, handiwork, and wisdom when Idomeneus slays her husband among the foremost fighters.

I.Daughter of Anchises
Iliad 13.429–440 presents Hippodameia as Anchises' eldest daughter, dear to her parents for beauty, skill, and sense, and married to Alcathous, fosterling of Aeneas. Her husband's death to Idomeneus is the moment the poem names her.
She belongs to the Trojan Anchises house, sisterly kin to Aeneas, not to the Pelopid or Lapith Hippodamias.

Distinct from Hippodamia wife of Pelops, Hippodamia wife of Pirithous (atlas hippodameia-lapith), the Danaid Hippodamias, and Briseis' alternate name. The atlas id hippodameia-trojan is Anchises' daughter alone.
