In Greek mythology, Eriopis (Ancient Greek: Ἐριῶπις) was the wife of godlike Oileus of Locris and stepmother of Medon; Homer says Medon fled to Phylace after slaying a man of her kin. Scholia also name her (as Eriope or Alcimache) mother of Ajax the Lesser.

I.Wife of Oileus
In the Iliad Medon, bastard son of Oileus and brother of Ajax, dwells in Phylace far from Locrian land because he had slain a kinsman of his stepmother Eriopis, whom Oileus had to wife. Homer thus presents her as the legitimate consort whose family feud drove the exile; later scholia add that she was daughter of Pheres and Clymene, also called Eriope or Alcimache, and mother of Ajax the Lesser.
