In Greek mythology, Deipyle (Ancient Greek: Δηιπύλη) was an Argive princess, the daughter of Adrastus and Amphithea. She became the wife of Tydeus and the mother of the hero Diomedes. Her sister Argea (Argia) married Polynices.

I.Family
Deipyle was the daughter of Adrastus, king of Argos, and Amphithea. She was given in marriage to Tydeus and became the mother of the hero Diomedes.
Her sister Argea (Argia) married Polynices. The marriages of Adrastus's daughters tied the Argive royal house to the exiled princes Tydeus and Polynices, whom Adrastus undertook to restore to their native lands.
II.Name
The princess's name is recorded in variant forms among the ancient authors. Servius and Hyginus call her Deiphile rather than Deipyle.
III.Other figures of the name
A separate Deipyle — also given as Deityche (Δηιτύχη) — is named as the mother of Eurypylus by Euaemon. In some accounts, however, the consort of Euaemon was instead called Ops.
