Galaxy/The codex of Centaurus

Centaurus was the first of the cloud-born centaurs in Greek mythology, child of Ixion and the cloud Zeus set in Hera's likeness according to Apollodorus. Hyginus makes him brother of Peirithous and forefather of the wild centaur brood of Thessaly.

From Centaurus descended the violent centaurs unlike Chiron, who was born separately from Cronus and Philyra.

Hyginus lists Peirithous as son of Ixion and brother of Centaurus.
