When Pelias dwelt in Thessaly he married Anaxibia, daughter of Bias, and begat a son, Acastus, and daughters, Pisidice, Pelopia, Hippothoe, and Alcestis — the royal brood from which the Iolcan succession and the Pheraean queen Alcestis both descend.2

Hyginus names the same queen at the wooing of Alcestis: many suitors sought the daughter of Pelias and Anaxibia, Bias' daughter, until Admetus won her by yoking a lion and a boar to a chariot with Apollo's help.3
