Apollodorus makes Amphoterus and Acarnan the avengers of Alcmaeon: arriving at Agapenor's house at the same time as Phegeus' sons, they slew their father's murderers; pursued to Tegea they were spared, then went to Delphi with the necklace and robe and from Epirus led settlers into Acarnania.2
